Our motto at Champions Rodeo Programs is "Developing Champions - In and Out of the Arena". Our hope has always been to equip rodeo athletes with the event skills they need to be competitive and the practical and spiritual advice relative to achieving success at the highest level.
Although Rope Myers, 2001 World Champion Steer Wrestler and current Director of Champions Rodeo Camps, has taken some time off from the PRCA circuit to develop programs at Sky Ranch, he recently decided to step back into the rodeo arena. With his sights set on the 2010 Wrangler Timed Event Championships in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Rope is gearing up for professional competition once again. The Timed Event is scheduled for March 5-7, 2010 at the Lazy E Arena.
Rope believes that what defines a champion is not what you "win", but who you become in the preparation for excellence. All champions, regardless of their sport, share similar elements in their practice and their prepraration. They also have areas of difference in their approach to training. Since rodeo is typically an individual sport, most competitors find themselves without a coach - - this requires extreme focus, determination, and personal accountability.

We are also very excited about adding some young champions to the CRC team! Every competitor has a unique perspective and their own way of preparing for "battle". God provides opportunities for us to learn from one another. Follow these young rodeo stars as they journal their thoughts, practice schedules and routines, and all that God is teaching them along the way! Click on their name to link to their journal page.
