WRANGLER
Position available in the horse and rodeo program at Sky Ranch Christian Camps located in Van, TX.  Interested in candidates who have experience and knowledge of animal health, nutrition, and facility/resource management. Experience in program operations in a guest focused, customer service environment preferred. Superior people and process management skills and riding ability.  Seeking a candidate who has a passion for teaching and sharing Christ to all age groups through this ministry. Position available March 1, 2012.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS INSTRUCTORS
Sky Ranch has been serving public and private schools for 14 years with its School Programs Department and we are seeking seasonal instructors for January 20th – May 31st.  If you’re interested in delivering high quality camp experiences that engage students in experiential learning activities that strengthen classroom instruction back at their schools check us out.  Our instructional areas include Outdoor Education (4th-6th grades) and our new character development program called iLead (7th-12th grades).  Duties will include teaching regular content areas during the day and serving on a rotation for evening events and campfire programs.  Our other duties include preparing teaching materials and working on projects as needed.   We will spend time teaching at Sky Ranch as well as on other facilities and sites as needed.  We are seeking individuals with a bachelors degree; love of outdoors and children; creative, dependable, outgoing personality, ability to communicate; and must sign a Christian doctrinal statement.  This is a seasonal position.

Human Resources Generalist – Van, Texas
The HR Generalist primary responsibility is to in cultivating a customer service based HR Department committed to excellence. The over-arching objective of the HR team is to provide world-class customer service to Sky Ranch’s employees while preserving and furthering the mission of Sky Ranch’s programs and ministries. Develops HR policies and procedures for Sky Ranch so that the organization can effectively carry out the overall mission. The Human Resources Generalist guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire organization. The major areas directed are:
• Maintaining competitive benefits and salaries for the organization.
• Assisting with the development of a superior workforce.
• Continued development of the Human Resources department. .
The right candidate will be a committed believer in Jesus Christ and must be willing to sign Christian Doctrinal statement.  Requires at least 5-7 years of hands on HR experience with advanced knowledge of HR principles and best practices. Bachelor’s degree and/or PHR certification preferred.  Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.  Prior experience with ADP PayExpert and ezLabor Manager required.   Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.  Visibility of work requires high attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and discretion with confidential information.  Requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule with occasional evening and weekend work, as well as overnight travel.

Accountant II

Our corporate office in Van, Texas has an immediate need for an Accountant II.   Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: G/L accounting and analysis, intercompany accounting, fixed asset accounting, reconciliations between sub-ledgers and general ledgers, bank reconciliations, taxes - sales & use and property, retail accounting and special projects as assigned.

The successful candidate will have a college degree and at least 3 years accounting experience with strong organizational skills and detail oriented.  Have strong knowledge of PC software, such as MS Office and advance knowledge of MS Excel.

Guest Services Specialist

Operations Executive
The Operation’s Executive’s primary responsibility is to provide day to day leadership and management for all aspects of operations consistent with the agreed upon mission and core values. Primary responsibilities include providing timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating condition of the ministry. The OE also demonstrates ownership for the communication process used for the development, implementation and execution of effective growth strategies and processes. The over-arching objective is to collaborate with the senior leadership team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth of the ministry.

PART TIME MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT – Van, Tx
Sky Ranch Camp located in Van, TX is currently seeking part-time maintenance assistant.  General responsibilities include maintenance of existing buildings, equipment, and facilities. Basic knowledge of tools and their purpose required.  Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions and able to lift loads up to 50 lbs.  Candidate must be hardworking, self-motivated and a team player that is willing to provide quality service for the facilities that serve as a foundation for the ministries of Sky Ranch  (32 to 40 hours per week Monday to Friday). PART TIME ACTIVITY FACILITATORS - Van, TX
Sky Ranch Camp located in Van, TX is currently seeking part-time activity facilitators for the 2011 fall season.  Friday-Sunday and occasional weekdays.  Hours may vary.  Activities include various lakefront water activities.  Other summer activities range from zip line to paint ball and other activities.  Responsibilities include facilitation and safety of all games and activities.  Will train and aide in obtaining lifeguard and challenge course certifications.  $7.25hr.  Very flexible work schedule, perfect for college and high school students.
